didnt take any pics on that, but basically it's a flower kind of hood.

it's like the 70-200 vr.and clicks on in place.

good thing about it is that u can reverse it and keep it with the lens for storage/travelling.

i still love my 70-200. :D

will checkout the pics once u have them posted....

Since quite a few got the lens, please post some test pics with wide open aperture and at 100% to see how good it is. :)

here's how it looks

hmmm, i made 2 of my all time favourite images with the 70-300 AFD ED before letting it go. i might come back to the nikon camp when the full frame is out next year. =)

sorry care to name the lens? i cant identify all the lenses. thanks in advance

70-300 AFS VR f4.5-f5.6 extreme left
70-200 AFS VR f2.8
105 DC f2
17-35 AFS f2.8
18-200 AFS VR f3.5-5.6
50 f1.4

as u guys can see, the lens is almost as thick as the 70-200.but the latter is still longer.

i managed to capture some pics before going to work this morning.
will upload for comparison by tonight or weekend.

maybe 3 diff range 70,105,200. one @ widest aperture. the other @ 5.6 for all. :)

aiya.not sure i shot a combo of those.i dont think i shot at 105mm.

At least it look good on your hand.. not too over too big for you. :)
Kinda of think of it It is worth getting that lens..for myself tempted again ...

my advise....
only if u lazy like me, hate to carry heavy lenses, then go get it.
if you are a pro, and only the best can do for you, stick to big mamas.
if i'm male, (got strength), i wouldnt wanna get this lens at all.

my 0.01cent
