I'm expecting this one locally at SGD $2,965 - $2,985 .
wow very accurate estimationThks for info anyway. (and u always seem to have a lot of info btw).
I'm tempted to get this to replace 24 and 85 primes i am using now for AD wedding shoots.
I used previous ver of 24-70 for few mths before i replaced it with 24 f1.4 prime bcos i wanted to get more creative shots (more bokeh with f1.4 and sharper, less distortion at 24mm).
And now thinking to change back to 24-70 due to faster focus (i think), added VR and probably better optics.
It's a vicious cycle of GAS i think![]()

Its a totally diff beast... I would use them together actually.( I hated the former Nikon 24-70mm.... Yeah I also owned it once. ) My 24mm 1.4 Nikkor is my keeper in my Nikon lenses..... this along with my Nikon 85mm 1.4 and my Zeiss 100mm and 135mm.
I recently replaced my Nikon 24 with Sigma 24 Art. Hv u tried it ? Its a little sharper i feel. Bokeh is just as good if not better![]()
Any one have experience with the Sigma 24-105 art lens ?
Hopefully they actual fixed the zoom barrel problem, its gets painful to expect a $400-700 repair every about 24-36 months, this and the personal problem of 70 being a little too short (for me) was the reason why I never bought this but instead worked with the 24-85 afs vr
First Ive heard of this....

Mine has a tight zoom problem but I still using it regularly. Was never dropped or knocked.
Higher cost of repair is apparently because design is such that svc ctr often switch whole barrel assembly instead of fixing particular part? Perhaps Fatique can share or comment? Thx

Mine is 4 years and going strong. mo problems whatsoever. Maybe some of us have figured a way to prevent the zoom barrel problem... ps. My friends who took the same precautions as me also experienced zero problems...
pls share the precautions method.. thanks
