Starhub has been pretty stable as compared to Pacnet whose service has growth bad to beyond worst this few years. Price to price, Starhub still offer the best value against Singtel. :thumbsup:

I have never got the chance to try out Starhub's customer service because my network has not failed on me YET. Been on Starhub for 5years and not a single major hiccup. Speed is excellent in my area.

If getting Singnet, they still have to make sure your area having ADSL2.

For me, I still holding to SH till Mar 06. I will see how is singtel promotion is like by then. Hope they give laptop (or maybe a 37" Plasma TV??? ). For the ibook, if I give to my wife, she don't know how to use. For me, I also got no use on it. But seem like their promotion keep changing and hope by that time, a more reasonable gift too.

Reason for I change is that I was given wireless B modem/router and adapter. Therefore, if I want max DL speed, I need to connect via cable (USB or LAN cable). Singnet also giving 1 Mbps upload which mainly good for those who got website n need to upload. SH offers only 384kbps, kind of slow. If I upgraded my PC, I might be playing online gaming. Therefore, with SN faster dl n ul, i got no worries.

Choice is your, decide what suit u best if you need to consider your $

Actually u already had a IBM notebook le.. just seems that the singnet's plan is good, along with the freebies (notebook & wireless router) quite gian lehz. but after reading that it's a 3 years contract, abit sianz.

Starhub used to be even better !! but now the download abit sucky lahz, and the promotion ain't good. Ya i signed up with SCV, not starhub. But i think my sister re-signed the plan to get a muvo|| :-( sadded, meaning that must be another 2 years contract with starhub liao.

Anyway, 2000kps compared to 10mbps worth the price differences? say $58 to $88.

$30 more, u get 5 X the download speed. You also be rewarded with 1Mbps upload and that is good for gaming. My friend pay SH inorder to get SN for playing games online. But one thing is that you must make sure that you could afford the $88 and also, fully make use of it in download and usage.

depends on what u use broadband for?

if just for net surfing and maybe light gamer, not worth it
if heavy gamer and heavy dl/ul, then go for it

3 years is very long for a contract. price keeps going down and speeds geting better all the time.
