Sometimes surfing can be real slow too.

Everytime during peak hour.:angry: Recently been getting drop line for cable but was able to solve the problem using repair under network connection.
Maybe it's time to move on to Singnet but abit worries as the contract is 36months for the free ibook.:sweat: :dunno:

not under contract. my contract is the old old generation one, under SCV, not starhub, expired many years ago.

When the surfing gets slow I connect my laptop to my neighbour's wireless network. Seems to be faster than mine, so I assume he's on Singnet! I have about 5 or 6 unsecured networks to choose from! Mine is MAC protected.

?? what the different between starhub and SCV? Expired many years ago and you never sign up to get the free gift, not even a printer.. I was offer to $8 discount if never get the free gift. Try asking and sure you get something.

Recently just sign up the 12mths SCV $8 discount. Now paying <$13 per mths for the 3 basic channel.

don't like to be tied with contracts, and i don't gian the free gifts. moreover, they'll take back the modem and ask me buy one or if sign 2 yrs, free modem with 2 yrs warranty. now my modem is unlimited warranty leh. ;p

it is the latest 1.33Ghz model, by default it comes with 512MB build in, 40GB hard disk, with extra features like BT and Wifi....NEW Radeon 9550 GPU

the one i am using now only 1.2Ghz, 256MB build in, 30GB HDD, Radoen 9200 and NO BT

mine is only 1ghz, 256 built in, 30gb hdd and raedon 9200, no bt also

I use it for day to day surfing and online gaming...IMO hosting of a dota game is much better than my fren's starhub 1500

becos they didn't set it. they are not aware of it. furthermore, wireless routers are more of plug-n-play nowadays.

That mean if we set security than no one can scan mine but i can scan other so how they know they are being scan?? Can use wireless liao!! Was told can sometime get interesting topic thru scan.:lovegrin:

some people dunno how to secure their wireless network...and then usually when *hub people come and install for their customers, they always leave the SSID to the default linksys and they will not turn on any security

So far I enjoy smooth and fast connection. Maybe my area is good ?
