not pretty sure about it, but it shouldn't. as of now it might affect, but in the long run it's going to better as newbies will look for better cameras. BTW, k-x will give some sort of presence as population will grow.

anyway, cannot buy the red as of this moment as I just bought a silver 77. pocket already burned.

I think Kx might have hurt the sale of K7 pretty badly. Emjay has to have some promotion to push the K7 sale, like a bundle deal or something. Otherwise they are gonna have quite a few K7 stuck there

Kris of SLR Revolution called me earlier this week ... to inform that K-x with dual lenses bundle has arrived... she ordered only 10 sets, black and navy blue if i remembered correctly, white one still pending ... i think she quoted $942 for basic bundle of 1 kit lense. Check it out yourself.

haha, thanks friends, greetings to all. honestly, i was tempted for a while ... visited 2 camera stores along orchard road last weekend... was quoted rather competitively and they actually hold stock of the white ones! mah tu liao :bsmilie:

I hope it's a full frame camera selling at $2000. That will blow canikon out of the water and us into full-frameness. :lovegrin:

yup...pentax did say they are leveraging on their old range's popularity. hence likely the K-x replacement will probably take on all the features of the K7 and be called a K2.

full frame will probably be called KF in accordance with their practice to use back the old model nomenclature...F for "Full Frame".

Just got myself a K-x after selling my K10D. I did a quick test yesterday and here are the things I liked(and did not like).

What I liked:
Auto-focus is improved - It locks in low light and is faster.
High-ISO - Much better than K10d.
Lighter - Not much a hassle to bring if you just want to shoot casually.

What I missed:
Ergonomics - Relatively it has a good grip compared to other small cameras. But I missed the K10Ds grip . Buttons felt a little bit cheap.

Is it just me or the pictures look different? Is this a CMOS thing?
