yea Nikon released the D4.

wow. it's still using an Optical Viewfinder. although it's much brighter.

hey, it uses the new XQD Cards. cool. but bloody expensive to buy one.

and wow. a few more ports for connectivity.

so... incremental improvement and everyone goes gaga... that's marketing.

Sony, on the other hand, changed the way you take photographs:

1) Tilt Screens
2) EVF
3) Full-time PDAF
4) Affordable Full-Frame cameras
5) AF on CZ lenses
6) 12 FPS on an APS-C camera
7) Simple menu that meant you don't have to dive into the menu to change one setting

and the list goes on and on and on

Fuji with the hybrid OVF/EVF, Micro 4/3 mirrorless for Panasonic and Olympus etc etc, Pentax Q....

any radical feature other than Fuji ovf/evf hybrid?

any radical feature other than Fuji ovf/evf hybrid?

they gave us a huge camera. in the form of the X-pro1. oh yea. extremely good noise control at high ISO. as seen in the X-pro1.

and i would say that for cheap compact cameras, Fuji outclasses most of the rest in terms of IQ

I don't consider 500mm f/4 anything special and SLT is just a makeshift solution to offer video without loosing PDAF in liveview, pretty conservative.

1. Reduces cost due to no pentamirror/pentaprism
2. Allows Sony to optimize the use of it's electronics portfolio
3. gives faster FPS than any similar-priced camera in the market
4. Gives full-time PDAF while shooting in burst mode too.
5. Full-speed PDAF in liveview mode
6. Built-in antishake on a full frame sensor (C and N said it was "impossible")
7. Invented the consumer digital camera

....and the list goes on... Yeah, conservative my @$$.

It's not just a "makeshift" solution for PDAF in video. It's a pretty radical departure from the conservative, 1948-era pentaprism.

Did anyone mentioned lyto cameras already ? Cheers

budget FF? hmm yea cant wait for see the price and specs of it..

The only one I found radical was the Samsung MV800 (got one and having tons of fun with it) ...even Sony is copying it with their Nex F3 and F5.

Well, I hope it will be better otherwise I could just buy the Canon one.
