So you can replace all you current NEX lenses that won't do FF.... ?

Your question implies the existence of native full-frame E-mount lenses.
N huge they will be on those very wide apertures... AF plus FF, quite a challenge to keep it small...
From my experience, any aps-c camera with the wonderfully fast 16-50 will focus faster than any camera with the 50mm f/1.4
wow... and all along i have the impression that prime lens r faster than zoom lens :-(

You have to look a bit deeper, there are more parameters than prime or zoom.
"faster" in what term? AF? A prime lens is usually called a "fast" lens not because of AF, but because of the amount of light they let through thanks to a large aperture.
Macro lenses are prime lenses too, but have slow AF for a good reason.

Doesn't matter. And has no relevance to the a99.

US$2794 = ~SGD$3740 which is quite a good deal for bundle with flash and vertical grip.
The GST and shipping will hurt though.

hmm..got to be or could be the 24/2 CZ.. that is SSM and full frame.
Of course...If the AF module in your camera is fast but the lens cant catch up.. wont work really well..
If the camera AF system is slow but your lens has SSM...it will work better..but not best...obviously..
So whats best. Get the camera body which has the fastest AF system and pair it with a SSM lens lo. Duh...:bsmilie:

Nope... I didn't ask them.. But it was stated on the repair report that it's a faulty shutter unit...
