Does anyone use this camera to shoot events with the original flash? Does it feel like the shutter is more laggy when used with flash? I experience that's with my camera

haven't tried my flash yet actually hehe may shld do so.... but the firmware update above seems to confirm/address continuous burtst with flash.

Benefits of Update:

Improved a symptom to rarely become front focus depend on shooting scene.
Decreased chroma noise when long exposure NR is set off.
Improved Hi continuous shooting speed when using with the flash.

Good news. After updating the firmware, the color noise problem of long exposure is virtually gone.

hehe i know those who can get at staff price can get awesome savings. too bad i don't have any friends working in Sony!

by the way, seems that the new deotech saker falcon adaptor is working great with both the a7r2, and also the older a7 series like the a7r

Ya. The staff price is very very attractive. oh well just enjoy the camera. It may not have everything, but it's the best camera. Hahaha

38xx is if u can buy without gst. U can call the shops to check street price.

Last I checked with one of the reputable shops, its still $4099. I think can pay by card.

I've tested the latest firmware of Metabones with the Canon 50mm F1.4 and I would say it's fast! My camera body though is still not updated to the latest firmware yet. Metabones really did an awesome job!

Mine is the T version of Metabones IV.

Just collected my La ea3 ($220) from TK at Funan.

Tested in the shop with my 70-400 G II.
PDAF is very quick. The green box dances around as if you're using a native FE mount lens. It is sharp and accurate too.

However, the CDAF is very bad. I will say it is unusable. Took 2-4 second to get a focus. Really slow and hunting much.
