A7r mk2

Yup will update here once I tested it. You don't say the Sigma leh, makes my heart very itchy to buy it. Ha ha ha! Also I don't want to have 2 big lenses mounted on the small body. Trying to get a smaller lens to compliment the small size body. I don't have a long zoom lens as it's not my shooting style but I do hope the fw update also resolves the issue of not being able to focus at max focal length on the canon 70-200 2.8 ii and mfd for the 50 f1.2.

I think it has improved much more with the new firmware regarding mfd. The 135L had no problems at 1m. The sigma macro could do macro in af!

Now get the 300II..haha.. Anyway yesterday after reading this post I message my friend who said that the AF speed seems to have improved after the updates on the 600II with TC.

Wa.... 600mm with tc on the a7r2!

Before the updates I have 2 friends testing out the A7RII on a 600II and 800.
Surprisingly the older 800 focus faster than the 600II(with and without TC).
Not sure how this new updates would fare between these two lenses now.
Anyway, may i ask if I use metabones with Canon lenses, would the field of view be different or same? Wider or narrower?

Hi guys, any other a7r m2 owners experiencing a bright blue/white dot visible on the EVF and LCD screen on their units? The dot is at the same place for both the EVF and LCD.

Same. Full frame view as per a 1dx or 5d3

Dead pixel on sensor?

Stuck pixel. Easy to solve. Just set the time of the camera to a month later and it will preform an automatic remapping

I really do not know. But you might be correct. The dot wont appear in normal view and setting. Camera needs to be set in high aperture f16-f22) and high shutter speed, then focus magnify to see it. If you put on the lens cover and it will be more noticeable because the EVF and LCD is dark except for that bluish white spot.

Thank you for your advise. I've read this tip also in DP review and tried it many times, it did not solve the problem.

If it is dirt i dont think thats show u bright blue/white dot on evf/lcd as the owner mention leh...

Yup it is not dirt or dust. Brought the unit to Sony IMM the staff says they will send for evaluation but it maybe the sensor.

Paying for it at retail price and the long wait to get one I sure do hope they give me 1 to 1 exchange.
I still haven't recieved the custom strap and the unit already faulty.
I hope this is a one-off occurance.
I let you guys know how they are handling this case and see how good is Sony's after sales support.

Good luck with Sony sales..as far as i know, they don't do 1 to 1 exchanges and they take at least a week or more for any repairs...after sales support is something Sony still needs improvement on..and with newer products, they might not even have the expertise to repair it at all

they did a 1 for 1 exchange for a 35mm F2.8 ZA where the lens elements were not aligned properly (left blur right sharp at all apertures below F11). They replaced the lens as they did not have the expertise to tweak lens alignment.

For the hot pixel, if they can fix it with a pixel mapping exercise they will probably not replace. if it is something easily repaired, i think they will do a 1 to 1 as it will be more difficult to replace the sensor!

This new DEO/Techart EF-E adapter is quite interesting.

Here is a testing video with the original A7 from China

yes i agree quite interesting. however i updated my current techart with their latest firmware and it doesnt seem to work. the older v2.01beta was better and worked with quite a few lenses of mine on the a7r2.

need someone to be the first to test this keke.

Does anyone use this camera to shoot events with the original flash? Does it feel like the shutter is more laggy when used with flash? I experience that's with my camera
