A77 Preview

The BBB virus been affecting me too and I made up my mind over the last few days..
i will be selling my CZ16-80 soon and get the CZ24-70 first.
This way, i will be able to enjoy the CZ24-70 in the meantime till Oct2011.

I feel sad that I am going to sell my CZ1680 :( coz its performing so well that i just dont really have any complains..

I know i will cave in and buy the A77 and the CZ24-70 will still sit well...
Then becoz i have the CZ24-70...i will have more reasons to convince myself when "A99" is out.. :p

I'm more interested in the kit lens. 16-50mm constant aperture...isit possible to be constant 2.8???

Of course it's possible. But if that's just a rumor, or a new premium add-on lens (not kit) we will need to see.

if really at $1099 usd for body+kit lens, dont think its a f2.8 constant aperture .. but we buyers wouldnt complaint Sony decide so =P

wa drooling.

jus a dumb qn. With a 24MP resolution on APSC on a smaller photosite, will it be able to match 24MP FF resolution?

noise handling wise, I guess 24MP/APSC still cant match 24MP/FF?

Resolution is resolution... The question is, can the lenses keep up. ;)

Noise handling wise, it may be even better. Sensor technology has come a long way.

interesting pt bro Rashkae.

went to read up on this interesting article.
http://luminous-landscape.com/tutorials/resolution.shtml

hope existing apsc lens can keep up. this clears my doubt previously as I was puzzled how come my tamron 1750 showed more details as compared to a film based m28200 at 50mm f8. still hv to along way to go learning about the technical limitations.

currently using A200(haha old monster)which cant handle higher ISO like iso800 and above .so by looking at it ,is a great upgrade to A77 m'i right ?

Even upgrading to "just" an A550 or A580 will make a huge difference already.

The A100-380 has very bad high ISO performance, and have been constantly bashed by alot of people.

But Sony listened to comsumer/reviewers, and from A500 onwards the high ISO performance is very good already.

As a semi pro model, the A77 will have a VG. But dont expect it to be cheap though, might be $300 or more.

There is no A99 camera.

sony currently has 3 different cameras.

1) Traditional Reflex Mirror SLR. uses an OVF. mirror flips out of the way to let the sensor capture the image

then came the mirrorless

2) NEX with an 18mm flange focal length. that meant smaller and slimmer bodies.

and shortly, what came running after it was the

3) SLT... which stands for Single Lens Translucent and allows light to pass through the fixed mirror, and uses an EVF. so no mirror flipping involved. (but quite a few people flipped fingers on this one :bsmilie:)

All DSLR cameras have visible noise at ISO800. The question is, how much and can you tahan it.

The A77, like the A580, will have a VG.

As for the A99, that's still nothing more than rumors for 2012.

rumors or not... nothing beats killing the hope other than someone saying "there is none"

FWeH. O Rly. you just killed everyone's dreams dude. where did you get that info from?

Maybe u can give us proof that there is an A99 then, if u feel that there is an A99.

How can an item be considered to exist, when it isnt even manufactured yet?

For example will u say that there is an iphone6?

Apple will probably keep coming out with iphones, and there's a high possibility that an iphone6 will come sooner or later.

But it doesnt exist now, so there's no such thing as an iphone6.

Sony will probably release a full frame DSLR or DSLT in 2012, but it doesnt exist yet, and thus there is no such thing as an A99.
