A6000

was taking many indoor shots during my recent trip and had to pump it up to ISO3200 at least with my kit lens with 1/25 and biggest aperture to get decent exposure. And it barely passed my noise level expectations. (On afs-c, wide focus, spot metering)

Then I realized that Sony doesn't have an E-mount telephoto lens with f2.8 or below. My resident lens on my Nikon was a 17-50f2.8.

Can anyone share how do they overcome low lighting with the camera settings? Or is there a third party telephoto that is f2.8? I know there are A-mount for that.

So from the last post, I understand even with an adapter for a Nikon lens, I'll lose my autofocus capability. So will I also lose it if I convert an A-mount Sony lens?

Thanks in advance!

Sony has the LA-EA4 adapter that retains AF for A mount lenses to E mount camera bodies.

Use flash? Many pros when taking indoor events using high end ff cameras still use flash. Gives control of lighting, eliminates unwanted shadows on the face. Also helps prevent funny colored skin tones. With lower iso, get better contrast and lower noise as well.

The AF does not seem to function.

This is my camera set-up:

A6000 (body) + LA-AE4 (adaptor) + SAL2470Z (lens)

I am new to E-mount. Any advise?

Once you adapt A6000 with LA-EA4 adapter, the AF module of LA-EA4 cuts in. The AF points are spread in the center. I am not sure what you mean by not working but I believe you might be experiencing this.

It's ok. I tried again and they are working accordingly now. Not sure what happened earlier.

Just got a A6000, any one have a good Nikon F mount lens to Sony E mount body adapter to recommend. No experience in any adapter.

For a ultra-wide angle photoshooting, I'm considering to either get a Samyang 12mm f2 manual lens or a Panasonic DMW-LW46 Wide Conversion lens(to mount on my Sigma 19mm f2.8 lens).
Do share with me if you have any constructive advice :)
Thank you!

Heard from a reliable source the successor to A6000 will be out by March 2016. It might be announced in Feb. Just be patient. I am waiting for ti myself. I just sold off my A6000 last week because once the new is announced, the A6000 resale price will drop.

LOL A6000 resale price already drop till bottom line leh..if go further down no need to sell lah
Btw , have no thought of jumping ship to F ? Hehe

Anyone here using Samyang/Rokinon 12mm f/2 manual lens?
I heard it's tough to focus the subjects while taking landscape photography even though with focus peaking feature being turned on.

Ok. Then don't wait anymore for the sucesssor but go and buy the A6000 today, if you have got one yet. 😜

Finally Lai liao......
I need the silent shooting feature.
But there is still no true weather sealing, no touchscreen will continue to be problematic for some :(

Interested in getting one since I won't fully use the new features with the successor.. Any recommendations to get it brand new for the kit lens?

SONY prime lens 50mm F1.8 is pretty good.
