Hello
Just joined Clubsnap.
Just bought A6000 with Sony 50mm F1.8 and Sigma 19mm F2.8. I am happy with it.
Thinking of buying Tamron 18-200mm E mount. Anyone with experience with this len?
Would appreciate your feedback. Thanks in advance![]()
Interested in this lens for my a6000 too. Curious to know if the hybrid autofocus will work on this lens

Hi all,
I am not sure if this has been discussed before.
Can I know where to get the cheapest genuine sony battery for the A6000?
It's anybody guess. Currently Sony is having promo and A6000 plus kit lens is about $1000. May be A6xxx/A7000 is avail 2H 2015 or later but it will probably cost more.Is this a good time to buy A6000 or should wait for anticipated A6xxxx / A7000 ? I am in market for my first DSLR/Mirrorless camera and budget is not more than $1k (including Kit lens)

A6000 body alone is going for $700+ at TK Foto. Comes with an additional original battery, 16gb SD card and carry case. Personally I think the price is very good. Just checked yesterday as I was considering an A6000 as a second body.
Users of A6000, can I know whether you have a separate dial to adjust the ISO ?
Thanks
Erm. I adjust ISO by pressing right on the dial next to LCD screen then rotate dial to select ISO

There are too many scenarios. In essence, u need to understand the ISO-shutter-Aperture triangle. There are many ways to get a proper exposure. Which combo to use will depend on the scene and artistic feel u are trying to expressWhile you are on ISO, can you share your knowledge on it. I normally leave it on ISO Auto while shooting in A or S mode and change eV if necessary.
What kind of scene or when would you change the ISO?
IMHO, camera are like other pieces of gadgets. It is impossible to be on the head of technology. So just buy when it's the time for u.Is this a good time to buy A6000 or should wait for anticipated A6xxxx / A7000 ? The main guideline is to try to keep the ISO as low as possible to reduce the noise.
For scenes that have poor lighting, if u cannot increase the aperture, or reduce shutter speed, u need to increase ISO.
For scenes that have very bright lighting, I will keep ISO to the lowest, and play with the shutter speed or aperture. However if u cannot afford to reduce the shutter speed, or reduce aperture, then u might need an ND filter.
U need to start going into Manual mode to full appreciate how the ISO-shutter-Aperture triangle affects your scene
If it launches, the price will be around $1199 based on new prices of new cameras. You can get a brand new A6000 from the usual retailers for around $900 today. Maybe lesser once the 6100 is launched. Not forgetting the upgraders selling of their old a6000 too. So I think the better deal is to go for the A6000 instead but that's my personal preference only. Unless the body of the 6100 is smaller, I don't see them adding any new compelling feature that will justify an upgrade. Not forgetting the 6100 supposed to replace the Nex7 as well, so I don't think it will be priced that low.![]()
It's a never ending pursuit of the latest tech. I myself is looking at the A7rII. But it will be a very difficult decision as it means abandoning all my APC-S lensesThanks Bro.. this was exactly what I was thinking.. I do not think any extra features in new A6xxx will be needed for my purpose now.. I would rather get a used A6000 which people might offload and spend the savings on a better lens.. I read the kit lens are passable at best.
