Yes, we have Alpha outings. In fact we juts had a major gathering where more than 30 Alpha users turned up.
However, the Alpha outings are listed in the other friendly forum instead.

Around $1050 (plus minus $20-40 from difference shops). Inclusive of the Vertical Grip.
however IT show is around the corner, I suggest u wait and see what Sony has to offer.
From the last IT show, Sony has been VERY GENEROUS and offered a 2 in 1 digital photo frame / printer together with various camera accessories for their DSLR.
So wait and see first, if u can afford a few more days without a DSLR

Went to IT show. A500 @ 1299, with 18-55, 2x8G, Extra battery, Bag, Tripod, Dry box, Vertical Grip.
While MS color selling 1165 with 18-55, 1x8G, Bag, VG.
Or 1199/1080 w/o the 18-55.
Which is better?
And since I don't need the VG, just wondering how much can I sell it?

so its 1x8G, extra batt, tripod,drybox for $100 bucks ..i ll say grab it if you are newbies.. dont forget you can get $100 lens voucher if you register online..
as for VG you can sell arnd $200 bucks.. A500 is really best value cam if you plan to sell VG

juz went to it show too n its certainly one of the best deal i saw . anyway the extra battery they give already cost around $100 , also able to purchase 50mm f1.8 at 119 ? n special price for F42am.

and already sold the VG, already bulky enough...and luckily i'm the first posted it at BnS, now there're more ppl selling... also got the 5018 at 119, great deal, and went to national museum Quest for Immortality with it. Great performance at low light, love it

yeah missed out the menu from main nav, might be it's just me, but how I searched was, goto sony.com, choose sony.com.sg, there's a DSLR icon right below the navigation, and it brings me to this microsite http://www.sony.com.sg/microsite/dslr/index.html?hpid=dslr_micro:home:mainbanner_icn , I don't know the main nav is different, and I also did googling for it :sweat:
