freebies: Dry box, UV protected, 2x8gb, 2xbatteries. Good grab???

2 things never give..cleaning kits and screen protector.

Where can i get tat 2 item?

Love the picture taken. Any recommended cheap telescope compatible with A550?

try slr revo at funan .. screen protector only $2 bucks last time .. or go for hardscreen protector i paid $18 better protected ..... enjoy shooting!!!

Why are you ditching your 550D for the A500? Not much difference actually other than the build in image stabiliser.

Haha... not ditching the 550D... just considering a second DSLR as my bro is also kinda interested in photography. Probably taking a look at a330Y as well... since it's a second DSLR, maybe get a more budget one...

I see, but I am suprised that you are not getting a Canon for your brother since you are using Canon.

Personally I would forget about the A330, it's really an entry level cam and the grip is not very comfortable to me, of course this is very subjective. The A500/550 would be a better choice as compared to the A330.

Haha... still keeping my options open... but thanks for the tip. Of course getting a canon would mean being able to share lenses... But I was thinking, since it was a second dslr in the family, the budget would be much lower... thus, I'm looking at the entry level budget ones... I'm pretty new myself to photography... I think I read somewhere in the forum that good cameras don't make good photos but how good the photographer is... So, starting with entry level then upgrade later as I might be better?

I strongly second Bro Galdor's recommendation given that there isn't a big price difference gap between the A330 and A500.

But if you 'die die' must have the A330, I would think the new A390 would be a better bet as the main complain of the A230/A330/A380 series is with the grip.

Haha. I saw the a500 at Harvey Norman Parkway, holding was good... he also offered a free vertical grip and was selling for approx 1200 SGD... thought was a pretty good deal... however was a tad over budget...

I'm starting to reconsider if I should even spend on a second DSLR at all given the frequency my bro is using the current one... =D

Most cameras with CMOS sensor will not have ISO100. Some higher end models may include that in the extended ISO setting.

ermmm... nice playground shot, the lights flare are abit distracting as well as the background. In the end, ask yourself what do you want the viewer to focus on ?

Did you purchased the A390 lens kit ? ...if you can still purchase the DT 50mm 1.8 SAM prime lens together with your DSLR receipt, I strongely urge you to do so !

since I didnt get my A550 due to a small accident recently, guess I just hold on n wait for A560..

but I wonder wat does "translucent" means for the other 2 cameras?
