Sony lens has been solid but lighter den smaller den other brands.

My canon friend always say why the same lens but mine look smaller. haha

And you can mount it on the cam permanently somemore, only flip up when you want to use. Quite convenient and easy to store in bag as compared to 42 or 58...

Of course, different purpose....

Dun worry, since it's so cheap, even if it's spoilt, you can buy another one again and no so heart pain....price should be roughly 2x lower than 50/1.4 bah....
