A Tokyo Affair

[01.04.09] This was our 3rd day in Tokyo and Disneyland was on our agenda! However, after a tiring but fun-filled day at Nikko, we just couldn't drag ourselves out of the bed as early as we would like to... Luckily the best thing about an F&E trip is the lack of a schedule. We ended up spending a good time shopping around Ginza before heading off to Disneyland at 3pm! :P

More candids from Ginza...

80. Bic Camera is one of the biggest chain electronics stores in Tokyo. It is like our Best Denki in Singapore but 10 times larger! This particular store occupies the whole building with 8 shop floors. The DSLR section has all sorts of working display cam bodies & lenses for you to test-drive till your heart content! I almost forgot about Disneyland...

81. Walking underneath the famous JR Yamanote Line, which is Tokyo's circle line that links up all the major urban centres such as Yurakucho, Shibuya, Shinjuku, Ikebukuro, etc.

86. We reached Disney at 4.30pm and they didn't sell a half-day ticket! :complain:

To be continued...

[01.04.09] Tokyo Disneyland was celebrating their 25th anniversary with 4 different seasonal themes. We were lucky to be there to catch the last week of the Winter theme celebration, which was the anniversary finale. Although there was no snow, the drizzle and the lights had made the resort equally, if not more, magical !

88. It's a Small World! Love it...

89. Pop Corn!

More to come...

Gosh i miss disney sea

I really like the photos you've posted thus far

[01.04.09] The key highlight of the 25th Anniversary Disney celebration was the most anticipated parade of dreams. This was the most magical parade I've ever seen...

101. Space Mountain is the most popular ride in Disneyland. The mind-blowing roller coaster ride set in near-total darkness was fast, furious and full of violent turns that will seize the weaker hearts (mind you)! Just go for it if you are game enough (you can always back out through the many "Escape Pods" along the queue path). Oh! By the way, the average queue time is about one hour...

[01.04.09] The Disneyland series will not be complete if there's no showing of some classic Disney cartoon characters isn't it? So here you go:

103. Mickey & Minnie!

104. Donald & Daisy!

105. Dumbo!

106. Cinderella & her Prince Charming!

107. Cinderella's Fairy Godmother in real life ?!

[01.04.09] Finally, our short stint with Disneyland came to a sweet ending. Will I be back again? We still have half of Disneyland and the whole of Disney Sea to explore... hence the answer is a resounding YES! ;)

108. 25th Anniversary

109. Mickey window on the Disney Express train. Sayonara! (for now...)

110. On the way back to Tokyo... Let's meet the Mickey boys!

Lovely night pics..can share the cam and len?

Great pictures! I wish i one day take such great pictures too when I return to Japan again.

One thing that always bothers me and I need to ask how you do it:
How do you take pictures of total strangers? Like the mickey mouse boys or the salarymen at night. I'm always too embarraced to point the camera at people I don't know. Feels kind of rude.:embrass:

How do you do it?

Thanks for your compliment. I'm sure you'll have great pics in your next many trips! ;)

As for snapping photos of strangers, I just took up the cam, aimed & shot, while treating myself as invisible ;p
