A Confession... I BOUGHT THE E-410!!!

The E-410 doesn't creak when you squeeze it...

After spending some time with your E-410, what's your overall impression of this camera now?

It's a beautiful thing really.

It looks good, it feels good (light but very sturdy), metering's improved, AWB improved, AF speed improved, AF in low-light improved, high-ISO noise improved, LiveView shows WB effects now...

If you really don't require the IS on the E-510 I'd suggest you go and have a look at it.

Careful though, not for the weak hearted... just see what happened to me! :bsmilie:

Just got this beauty from MSC yesterday. Coming from an E1 user, it does make E1 feel a bit 'old'. I agree with drakon09...it looks good, feel good, quicker to use. And best of all, a small size package for travelling needs where I can also reuse all my Zuiko lens..(BTY I am still reading the manual...)

i'm actually hoping that the IS on the E510 is either super good or rubbish, cos if it's mediocre i'd have a hard time deciding. :bsmilie:

Don't get distracted by others. E500 is a good camera, beside its lack of live view.

Actually, I don't really care about Live View. Doesn't seem to be important to me. But the E-500 viewfinder is really small. What I care is the high ISO quality and IS.

Any chance that you hold the E-510?

I think I like to have a compact body like the E-410 (not too sure how much smaller it compared to E-510). But cannot get off my mind is also the IS in the E-510.

Aren't you considering the E-510 too? (imagine all the current lens become IS enabled)

it has a faster AF than E500 using same len under low light...

Slightly brighter than the E-330 if my memory serves me well.

The 410 is an improvement in all the above aspects.

E410,everything need to deep into menu.I will say upgrade to E510 from E300 is better
