Also with current systems - 400W will not cut it if you decide to add more HDD in future. You'll need at least 600W >

And please ... do not use funny PSUs eg. iCute or other weird brands. I don't really recommend FSP either. Using 1 on my dad's PC, starting to give problems already.

I last time backup on DVD . Some files lost . Now scare liao.

Anyway , once bitten twice scare... Now more play safe liao ...

Aiya didnt tell me that time if add more HDD 430W cannot support. I think mine is 480W.
Even thinking adding a DVD combo drive & 6mths later a 250G HDD for backup.

Depends on what brand and type of media you're using.

I'm using and only swear by Mitsubishi DVD-R & Verbatim DVD-R (now in those blue spindles) Made in Japan is the keyword. Dye must be of Taiyo-yuden. The rest - i don't touch at all.

Using those generic no brand PSU ar...

Between samsung and philips, i'll still take samsung, don't know why. Don't really trust philips products.

Anyway had very good encounters with samsung's after sales service.

How come u guys did not cather for remote storage device for backup ? If HDD fail then all photos done liao .

Don't get me started about that shop. Let's just put it this way. All shops of "that kind" operate the same way. Too many horror stories in HWZ also. I'd rather pay more @ Fuwell or bell than @ that shop

Not sure how u guys work. When I shoot in the Wedding happen to have another Pro, we take turn to fire flash . Thus you will only see one flash at time only.

Anyway the DS3 all you need to do is get a PCI firewire card and add on. Won't cost more than $28

For mobo wat the diff btw DS3 and DS4?

Possible to squeeze under 1.5k bo? If not Kingston RAM den maybe Twinmos lor. PSU the rest of the brands so jia lat meh?

PSU I think will cost you $100+ more
Graphics card $100+ more than mine

BTW... I also using Coolermaster Centurion series

so yr system is already close to $1.4K - $1.5K
LCD those 8-bit type for 19" I think close to $500
unless you go for normal LCD which is around $300. But for us, bettwer get 16.7M clors type to do editing

if u gng for core duo processor, gotto change mother board lor. Even rams gotto change to higher speed one to fully utilise the performance of the chip
