Day 6 - Yangon: Dinner time is here...
Wah, yet another tiring day in the sun.
I am quite sure at the end of the day, every one of us will have a few more freckles on our faces.
No wonder the ladies in the team were having their faces covered thick Thanaka today.
So clever!
We were walking out of People's Park at around 3:30pm when Melvin pulled me to the side and said:
"Limwhow, today is Tazzie21's birthday.
We have prepared a surprise Birthday cake for him in the dinner restaurant.
Let's all have a great time cos it is a surprise for him."
Sounds really great.
As it turned out, the surprise was certainly sprung.
However, the target of surprise was not the intended one but Melvin himself...

Anyway... this was the last scene I remember walking outside People's Park as Melvin spoke to me.
I just took a shot of this Jeep as record purpose and for memory sake - just to jolt our memory that this is where the coach drove off...
I am sure all of you would have seen this jeep there and then... just behind the coach.

There we were, at 3:50pm, seated and happily TCSS at Royal Garden Restaurant beside Royal Kandawgyi Lake, very close to the Karaweik Palace Restaurant on our first night in Yangon (remember, the two Royal Birds with the backside?).

Well, delicious Chinese food here.

... and Whew! Finally at 5pm the intended surprise proper was sprung.
... was that the end of the day?
Hehehe... far from that.
These hardcore fellows are not completely satisfied yet.
One of them told me:
"Limwhow, let me give you a piece of advice.
When you come to any foreign land, what is most representative of the place
is the people on the street. Look around you.
Can you see the colours, hear the sound and smell the aroma of the place?
That's why whichever country you visit, you've got to come down to the ground level,
walk with your camera on the street - and do Street Photography!"
See? Again, such wise advice that totally wakes me up from my inertia.
Both SereneXMM and I were originally intending to rest and not go out for the night walk.
But after such inspiring speech, I have learned another new thing about photography.
CANNOT BE LAZY.
Ok Ladies and Gentlemen, with that I pass the playground back to you all.
