I think you missed out a / in the 2nd [plain][IMG][/plain].

The command should look like this..

[plain]

Oh btw, you can put your codes between [plain] and [/plain] commands if you do not want them to be processed.

I heard from my favorite dealer yesterday that the new version is coming out locally very, very soon. ;)
Still, I find that reach of the 70-200mm is just not sufficient on a FX body.. unless we invest in a teleconverter as well. But that would reduce the lens aperture by 2 f-stops... making it almost like the 70-300mm VR :(

Just got this lens recently. Used it a few times for street candid shots. Loved the lens. Was considering whether to wait for the newer version but was not going to upgrade to FX anytime soon so took the plunge. This lens rocks on a DX but there seems to be some corner issues on a FX though. Share some of the shots I took below. Only PP done was black and white conversion.

I think one good way is to get a D300 for 70-200 f2.8 VR or any tele and macro.
Then FX cameras for wide angle, primes (you don't have to get a prime that is close to the ideal perspective, like 35mm to pass off as a FF 50mm on a 35mm film) and event shoot.

Hehe. BBB!:bsmilie:

reduced by 2 f/stops is not an issue esp when shooting in daylight or bright area (have not tried TC shoot at night or dim place).

I do not have a 70-300mm but I believe the IQ of 70-200mm even with TC would be better... (anyone with experience care to share?)

Thx bro . A little err on my part too

just am wondering how much can this lens cover for landscape shoot?
anyone got a Wide angle landscape pics to share taken with this lens?
if have great Wide angle landscape kind of pics taken from this len than i think i am being posion by it too le...

It is not a wide angle lens. Abit too telephoto especially on a cropped sensor to shoot wide, unless you are at a pretty good distance.

Ok I got one pretty wide one taken with my 70-200mm VR
No prize for guessing how come it was wide. It can be even wider still :bsmilie:

haha to be correct, its "the great light-grey" according to NIkon

If want to buy, maybe can buy from Japan. I think they're considered an abomination there and should be selling cheaper than the black versions. Can anyone confirm this? ;p
