Brother, your poisonous sting is so deadly, people now start to form a list and wanting to charge down to CP to demand for discount liao...I started out only with an enquiry...hahah

haha i've wanted this lens since it was released, but bo lui. if can get discount, why not? hahaha i'm a true blue (or red) singaporean.

I think it is quite affordable now for a used one.

I paid quite a hefty price a few years back about $3k for a slightly used one grey some more :what: guess I'm always a "Robert" when it comes to equipment purchase.

Just got yours? How do you find it?

You must have strong arms ;)
People may find it intrusive if we go round shooting with such big lenses...don't you get stares?

GREAT! Love the sharpness and colours! Outstanding build quality. VR leaves people hoping for more though. Let me quote someone, if ur reading this, you know how good this lens is and it IS as good as you think it is so just get it! What i thought was limited by resolution last time is soooo not. It's all in the lens...

"Robert" is always referred to as someone who always paid a high price without knowing why, in Cantonese movies/drama :bsmilie:

$2.2k  compared to $3k that's a saving of $800 which can get you a SB-900 with spare change.

haha i take that as a indirect way of saying "no, there's only 1 version".

yeah. only 1 so far. ;)

here's some photos taken with the 70-200 to increase the poison dosage :bsmilie:

If you're referring to using converter + extension tube: I tried with converter but quality no good and also you need to be very near the subject which may disturb them :(

Maybe use a T6 will be better but I don't have a T6.

hmm... I've got no experience with 2x convertor. I've only used it with 1.4 and 1.7.

Sharpness with 1.4 and 1.7 is average.
Lost a lot of contrast
Colour is also so so only.

Besides sharpness, Contrast and colour and be reproduced again with software.

:(

I see. Ok, I will get the 1.7 then. Maybe you can post some pictures taken together with 1.7 converter so that people who wanted to buy now can buy the converter together as a package as well. They can even fight for a better discount :bsmilie:
