5D2: whats the problem? why many waiting 5D3?

Interesting people.

1. During 5D era, some people wait for mk2, and some will want to wait to buy 5D cause price will drop.
2. Now that mk2 is out, some people wait for mk3, and some will want to wait to buy 5D mk2 cause price will drop.
3. When mk3 is out, some people wait for mk4, and some will want to wait to buy 5D mk3 cause price will drop.
4. and this goes on....

DSLR is like computers nowadays. There'll always be new, better, faster product. The generation before will drop in price. You can never wait, and its never wise to buy for keep.

You go buy when you need it, use it and at a price you're comfortable with. You lose alot $ if you often sell/buy "chase after" the new product. Product makers love you very much.

i'm waiting for the model that will sit down and listen to my requirements,

"hey i need some clip art of Mt Everest during the climbing season; show a line of climbers like ants crawling up a kitchen wall of sorts..."

and it will respond,

"you got it!"

and head towards the Himalayas and snaps the exact pictures that will inspire me.

That will be the day.... i'm saving up for it. It's good to be a photographer.

Well, I'm heading towards Mt Everest soon... Unfortunately, the camera won't be able to take photos on its own. I'll have to do the climb myself etc. Tough luck. :cry:

unless you're a newbie to buying tech, there is NO problem.this is how the tech industry goes: products have built in shelf-life (planned obsolescence), and customers simply respond to that.

Seriously, you believe that is the case ? and this camera still won all the camera of the year award all over, and sold like hot cakes, though it cost almost 4K ? You would had imagine Canon CEO going around the world apologizing and doing all the recall if that is the case ...

Hmm can you elaborate ? How cheap and where ?

Seriously the AF on the 5D is really a headache for fast prime other then the center AF point and they are so near to the center i have problem not to recompose if i required my subject near or over the line of thrid.
But once focus hit on, the IQ is stunning.
