Yes total is 15 AF points but if in AI Servo mode and center AF point used, only 7 will be used (including center AF point). If u want to use other AF points other than the center one in AI Servo mode, the 6 invisible AF points will not be activated.

Essentially the EOS 5D MkII will likely be an EOS 40D with a larger sensor containing more pixels, just as the EOS 5D was an EOS 20D/30D with a larger sensor and more pixels. My guess at the price is around $3000. It will have to compete with the new Nikon D700 of course, but for those already invested in Canon lenses, it doesn't have to compete too hard!

Given Canon's "commitment" to the mid-range DSLR market being what it is, it's not hard for anyone to imagine the "5Dm2" as nothing more than a 40D grafted with a FF sensor. Perhaps to "compete" with the D700, they'll take the built-in flash off from the "TO-CRIPPLE" list.

What does surprise me is, if it's just going to be a FF 40D, why all this delay?? :dunno:

WOW! So fast 5D MKII became obsolete already...with recent FF launch by Nikon and Sony hot on the tail.... Good choice for them to give the mkII a miss, and jump to MKIII....:bsmilie::bsmilie:

Hmm. I'm still puzzled as to why everyone is being so picky about the 5Dmk2 being a bigger 40D with fullframe sensor when in fact, the 5D is essentially a 20D body + ff sensor & bigger viewfinder.
