Very TRUE..
sry ah... I know this is canon's discussion... If we are talking abt cropped body, did anyone consider 30mm f1.4 from sigma?
Seems like a better choice for crop rite?
you may need to calibrate the sigma 30mmf1.4. I never own it but from the user thread, this is a very solid lens.
In fact, I'm still yet to decide to get cannon 28mmf1.8 or this sigma lens.
Already owned a 50mmf1.8 but it is a bit tight for me.![]()
so far i got all the quotes are as follows
MS color 125
TK 125
any others got new quote?
confirm Alex photo is local set? selling at 110 inclusive of GST?
You can try Parisilk and SLRR. I managed to get 121 from Parisilk. SLRR quoted me 121 too.
$4 discount does not justify for me to travel over as MS is much nearer for me..... heehee
if 110, i dont mind travelling down.
+1... MS is only 10mins walk away from me. As compared to Funan which is like 30+ mins away.
ive just recently bought 50mm f1.8!
121 at SLR revolution![]()
If you are thinking of getting the 28mm f1.8, I strongly encourage you to head down to Canon showroom in Vivo to try it out first before committing. My opinion after trying it is that even though it is a f1.8 lens, it is very very soft wide open. Having said that, there are many that swear by this lens.
I have since picked up a 35mm f2.0. The IQ beats the 28mm hands down. You may want to give it a try to see if you like the 35mm FL. I will personally skip the 50mm FL on crop body, because I find it to be "not here not there". But that's just me![]()
Sivakis said:Personally, I wouldn't bother thinking about saving $5 to $10 if it involves more than 30 mins of travelling time (to and fro)..... just doesn't justify it. But that's just me![]()

In fact I find it puzzling why some people want to spend $100-$110 buying 2nd hand copies, when a brand new one cost just $15 more.....
I'm a user of this lens too, got mine from SLRR @ $121. Any suggestion on how to take good landscape using this lens?
