also actually depends on the client if she/he wants your assistant to give out the photos during from the start or from nearing end when guests leave. often too many guest coagulate at the print area and ends up getting abit too messy , even with the name list , 1person/photo, they come back again confusing the assistant

Those selphy or whatever printer is slower, but good for back up.

The printer get those dye sub.

i think rent is better then buy, but when quote pls remember this, dun quote too low as this instant printing quite stressful, not worth to do for small money.

by the way, i remember noritsu have one that is quite fast.

care to elaborate "Dye Sub " ??

Few days ago I had 1 event, My assistant did on the spot printing (PPl come collect at the end of the event crowd round the tabel), I realised the Print Out from the Selphy 780, the colour are Not very accurate from what i shot, As i compare the color in the camera + Mac book screen (Colour rather accurate) , its the same, but when it prints out, its always ABIT darker and more orangy (White balance). I had to shoot abit brighter than usual (+0.3) for flash and exposure, + some photos my assistance did add blue tint to it and then it comes out pretty ok,
What are you guys input on the colour accuracy on the seply 780? Yes abit slow, my assistant finished processing faster than the printer can go. Lol  but i am ok with the speed on budget equivalent

also, better to calibrate the monitor. But color wise, i tried selphy before, and color still okay, only problem is a bit dark. I own an zebra f680, but the print and speed ok, not the best tho.

best i think is those fuji or noritsu.

By using dye sub, you will actually save more. Think u need those who use frequently to answer you better, i only do very little on such, not much experience to share.

the number of printers you need will vary from event to event.

i have used 2 selphy printers for a golf event. basically we have 2 photographers covering the event followed by dinner. so we started printing mid-day exchanging the cf cards and by end of dinner we were still printing.

just to share one key takeaway - is we underestimated the number of copies to print. one picture may need to print more than once depending on how many people are in the picture. so if you have 1 picture but with group photo of 10, we would have printed 10 copies of the same picture for everyone.

Hi Pokiemon, I am looking for printers to rent for an upcoming golf event. Do you have any contact for such printer rentals? Thanks

Hi, I'm able to support you with printing service. I'm using Fujifilm printer that can print up to 6R size. PM me for your requirement.

Just an fyi. We are currently letting go professional Fuji ASK2000 Dye Sub printers over at the FS section. They are really amazing machines if you are looking to do 4x6 prints.

the 2 Noritsu printers on site at this past weekend's Ganbatte Japan charity drive was superb....... churned out 4R prints in a few seconds ....... the dye and paper comes in a single package box (paper was a looooong roll that had capacity for 500 prints per roll

Donors loved the output

Good job Noritsu...... these printers will be at work this weekend again at Ganbatte Japan at a new location.

How much are the Noritsu printers going at? Cheers

A few years back was about $3k+ now may be cheaper, I am not sure.

Those interested can come down to Orchard Central this week end between 11am to 6pm to see these printers in action.

if the Canon Selphy or Epson Photomate printers are too slow to print, has anyone tried printers such as Stylus Photo T60 or PIXMA iP4870? The manufacturing claim is about 12s for Epson & 20s for canon, both printer are under 6kg each.

Hi wanna ask a question.
Im planning to start a photo booth business. just printing 4x6 print's with templates and background.
Im looking at Canon Selphy printers, will that be enough to cover the entire photo booth event?
Let's say max 2- 3 hours of shooting. Im planning after shoot wait a bit then collect printout right away.

Any other printers that you may refer good for photo booth? A bit on a budget here, so those noritsu or sony are out of my options already. Thanks
