Hmmmm heres a sample with and without the auto lighting optimizer hope this will help but the difference issn't big only can see the diff if u flip between these 2 pictures

Its different the 450d is using BG-E5 while the 350d is using BG-E3

Hi,
Press the DOF preview button and the aperture will stop down to current aperture for you to check the depth of field... I think it's at page 74 of the manual.

A simple definition of stop down...it means to close down on the aperture, in layman's terms it means make the hole in the lens smaller i.e. less light will enter it for a given amount of time. for e.g to stop down an aperture of f4 -> f8. Higher f-stop number correspond to smaller opening.

There should be lots of websites on photography basics such as shutter speed, aperture and ISO etc., go google for it.

I personally find it very handy love the size and weight, its lighter than the 400d it will serve you well when you go for travel. The live view is good when you take those low angle shots n stuff. For the bugs, still haven find any and hope not to find any lol. I feel that the 450d a very good camera hehe my 1st DSLR ^^V need any other stuff feel free to ask ba
