Thanks uyiew. Need to ask again, those vertical photos that are set to auto rotate in both computer and camera, when I view it in the cam its vertical, but when i download it into my comp and view in windows explorer, the photo is hortizontal and not being rotated. Is this normal?

Hmmm mine is also like tt so i suppose its normal ba haha mayb we can try asking ard if other user faces the same problem :dunno:

Maybe someone would like to do a few tests for us? I'm particularly interested in seeing how well the Auto Lighting Optimizer works...

It depends on the software you're using to view the photos... the camera will tag the shooting orientation in the exif. Certain software like zoombrowser and photoshop can read this info so it'll display it in the correct orientation. Others like irfanview or windows image preview won't read the info so won't adjust for it.....

I think by logic should be able to view.
But you have to save in the correct format. (example : JPG format)
In the first place why you want to view on your camera?
viewing at your monitor isn't bigger and better? :dunno:

I could not view PhotoShop edtied jpd photos on Canon IXUS 80IS.
Canon oficiers comfirmed that too.

In my view, Canon 450D has a 3" LCD which is a very good device to show your works to others when you are not carrying a notebook.

Depends on what software you use to download and/or import the photos. I use iPhoto on the Mac to manage my collection, and it is able to import them with the proper rotation.
