Dear brothers,

I am thinking of getting a CF card and are struggling between the Kingston 2GB Ultimate CF 133X at $112 or the Sandisk Extreme III CF at $169. Or is it sufficient to buy the Kingston Elite Pro 50x or Sandisk Ultra II CF?

This is for my 400D use. Anyone can comment on the quality of Kingston CF cards? Are they commonly used for cameras cos everyone in the camera shops are recommending Sandisk.

I have been using Kingston CF.
Cheaper and work fine.

Personally, i dont think you should spend too much money on high end flash cards. When my 1DmkII died and I had to borrow a 20D, I bought an extra CF card. I went cheap and got a kingston 50X 2gb. It worked fine... even when i brought it back to use on my 1DmkII, the speed was even noticeable. maybe when you transfer to computer, you can feel the difference.

Since you are using it on a relatively slow camera like the 400D (the 1D shoots at 8megs, 8.5fps for your reference), you will hardly hit the speed limit. In fact, the limiting factor here will be your digic chip and the onboard ram on the camera. Only, go for the $$$ stuff if you need to have the best and cannot wait a bit longer to download photos

Thanks for the advice. I will settle for the K Ultimate 2Gb since it is cheaper than the Sandisk Ultra II 2GB.

just to check the price of $1669 does that include both the lens? EF50mm and EF 70 to 200mm?
