To me the all time record is "The Sound of Music". When It was screening at Shaw's Lido theatre in the early 60s' I must have seen it 5 times during the first 3 months. Up to date, whenever my wife screens it for the grand children, I still enjoy it. I must have seen it more than 100 times.
Totally agree
I guess everyone must watch this movie :)

Think the latest will be Inception because cannot conclude if he is awakened or still sleeping.

Tried watching Inception twice, once in the theater and the other at home. Both times I couldn't force myself to finish it. Fell asleep.

The movie is too long and draggy IMO.

Looks like you are a Nolan fan :D

BTW, if you like Shawshank, you will also like the other Darabont/King collaboration movie, "The Green Mile".

The sound of music on Blu-ray is awesome. The 70mm cinematography is a wonder to behold. The high resolution imagery and DTS sound is fantastic!! everyone should buy this disc.

The social network.

Fast and the Furious: Tokyo drift.

Only bought Da Vinci Code recently... but that would be my third movie that I will watch for >3 times.

Kung Pow! Enter The Fist
The Godfather 1-3 (more than 20 times)
The Matrix 1-3

The Matrix 1-3

Just watched Matrix 3 the second time. I can understand it much better now.

This week, the complete Star Wars saga is available on Blu-ray! Got my set now! What an experience watching ep IV in 1080p full HD. I don't remember ever seeing the scratches on R2D2's body so clearly ;)

All the Wong Kar Wai films, especially 2046- he has an amazing visual style and ability to film mood. His characters are so fake and yet so real all at the same time.

Tron Legacy- the film is just too cool.

Inception- that movie is about the best mainstream philosophical film I've seen. And if you're keeping track, the point is YOU (not Leo di Cap) doesn't know whether you're awake or sleeping. It's very matrix-like in that sense, although the matrix movies tried to get too smart in the end.

Akira Kurosawa- he really knows how to tell a story.

Before sunrise and before sunset. Those two movies shouldn't be so good, but they are.

Spirited Away, and other Hayao Miyazaki films. I love the strange and abstract, especially when they come with heart.
