anybody used the kingston elite pros and have negative stuff about it to share?

if not i'm gonna head out and grab one myself!

The prices at Best just dropped on 3rd December.
I was there on 2nd December... 16GB Kingston ProII was $58.

I'm not sure of the warranty status for their Sandisk, but at these prices its cheaper to buy another card than to send it for repair/replacement.

Actually if can get it replaced free, why bother to buy new one?

i'm a bit embarrassed to ask this, but i haven't bought memory cards for a loooonnnng time. which are the brands that have life time warranty - 1 to 1 exchange.

i know that lexar and sandisk have life time warranties, no? but what about brands like kingston and transcend.

Kingston has lifetime warranty too, if i'm not wrong. I bought it frm carrefour and it has a lifetime warranty sticker on it. Shdn't have any technical problems with these cards. btw, what's the diff between card with reader and no reader?

what is the procedure for claiming the lifetime warranty for sandisk cards from vector magnetics?

are both receipt and box necessary?

Lexar 8GB UDMA CF card:

AP: $120
OP: $120

Hey FF,
Many thanks for sharing! its a pain in the a*se shopping at sim lim bcos prices vary so much & its stressful to go hunting around the black shops there. IMO, I personally like the bargain price of kingston, but given the same declared speed of kingston and extreme, I noticed very obviously that sandisk is much faster than kingston...dunno why,or is it a case of over promising by kingston but under delivering...

don't get kingston 133x.. very slow write speed even tho the price is cheap.

To claim warranty for Kingston just bring your packaging with the sticker. they look for their sticker with the dealer's logo. AFter they test it is not functioning, you'll get a brand new one replacement. The service centre is in the upper floor of OG opp SLS. sorry can't remember the actual add.
