From what I know, some merchant rock the boat with ridiculous price and little or no stock if they want to disturb their competitors' sales....and then they will sell you the alternative :lovegrin:

Just went down to Best Bargain at SLS 5th floor today... no Sandisk Extreme III CF 4GB available. In fact, there are hardly any Sandisk CF cards there.

So... I ended up buying a Kingston 133x 4GB CF card at $52.80. Warranty with local distributor, not shop warranty.

Shop warranty = if got problem, we go back to shop and they settle for us.

Warranty with local distributor = if got problem, don't bother the shop, but go down to the distributor to settle it.

i wonder how long is the shop warranty.. 1yr? 2yrs? 3yrs? 5yrs? Lifetime?
Distro warranty best la. lifetime. anytime got prob usu its 1 to 1..

according to the Sandisk Sole Distributor in SG, the recommended price for Extreme CF are:

Extreme III 8GB : $170
Extreme IV 8GB : $290

Thats almost 2x the price of BB.

Anyone bought Sandisk Extreme from BB care to confirm if they are genuine?

Who is the agent? Got problem when I brought one during the last IT Show. I have to do recovery at least twice. Claim to have lifetime warranty....

Have you tried the CF card. I have one old Adata 1G CF card.. OK no problem but the 4G one yes...
