Well, the second series is better on the first image as the "pink" now is not the issue, but then again as mentioned the untidiness of the cloth distract the viewer from the image. also the B&W is too flat to my liking...
image 2, the main focus is the little hand holding the finger and it should be sharp, however, in this case it is OOF and it become very distracting to have the hair in focus as B&W tend to allow the viewer to look at the "details" and textures of the image.
this is how most viewer would look at an image, from sharp to blur and from light to dark. So if you think about this before you snap, it should give you a better outcome.
image 3, I figure you are trying to have a silhouette shot, but this image is really just under expose and there isn't much "shape" to grab the viewer's attention. For silhouette shots, you need to place your subject which your background lighting should be about 3 stop over or more to get the proper silhouette. For silhouette shots, you really need to work on the "shadow".
All in all, in terms of image, what you should look at before you click
1. what you are going to say about the image
2. look around for the element that you want to "add" to the image, remove it if it doesn't add anything
3. look at the lighting on that location
4. change these elements until you "got" it before you click.
To illustrate, here is one of my shot...
The shot above is what I was looking for, but the bottom shot is easier to shot but the details are messy.
Hope it helps...
