Cos the $250 voucher and the coffee maker is factored in haha!

yes and ever wondered how much it costs to rent the huge store space and employ dozens of smiling salesman in red best denki vests?

this is what cathy photo offered me.
need to factor gst 7%

Guys can help me to choose which lens is "value for my money" if I want to buy "Purchase-with-Purchase" or should I just buy a body and buy 3rd party lens like ;

Tamron 10-20 3.5
Tamron 24-75 2.8
Sigma 50 1.4
Sigma 85 1.4

I doubt any of the 3 will wow you as much as the Sigma 50 f1.4. That is a stellar lens and I believe you will love it on any FF camera. Just bear in mind it lacks the versatility of a zoom and most likely you will need something wider if you are traveling or helping out in functions :)

You mean the Sigma 10-20mm f/3.5?

Also, Tamron makes both the 24-70mm f/2.8 VC and the 28-75mm f/2.8. The latter is cheaper. I can't be sure which you are referring to.

Yes that's sigma

24-70mm f/2.8 VC ( this one is a better version ) ...

But isn't the sigma dx ? Thought the widest sigma fx is 12-24mm ?
That is unless u are looking at dx lens also . Correct me if I'm wrong .

just take a look my short review : D600 1st Looks - VintagePhotography

nice work Mr Rain! may I know if u were using the same lens to test i.e. 28 1.8g?

d600 image was at f5.6, d800 image at f4.0 seems more crispy even shot wider. although focus point is a bit diff, but I think conclusion can be drawn.

Bro, Get the primes lah. Start with the Nikon 50 mm 1.4. Not too ex.

For me I went with the 24-85 until I upgrade in the future when the remove the 24-70 VR version ;)

I have been testing those lenses and have posted some photos in the review forum

How do we know for 3rd party which one is for DX and which one is for FX ?

Sigma calls it DC and DG.

Tamron calls it Di and DiII.

It is all in the manufacturer's website.

Can D600 use DX mode with Fx lens
Eg. 50Mm become 75mm?
