13/09/2012: Nikon announces D600 FF 24,3 mp

Do note that the aperture control on video will be ala-d7000. means no aperture control during shooting or in live view.

I wonder why they couldn't include it when it was already present in the d3s (meaning it's not 'new technology')

Sigh.....

I think I should hold on for a year or two. My Tokina 11-16 still has 2 years warranty, my Nikkor 40mm still got 1 year warranty. I think it's "Sayang" if I sold them just because of D600....

tell me guys.... is it Sayang?

Why sell? If I get the D600, I will still be keeping my D7000 for macro and other things when I need longer reach.

because it's too costly to maintain 2 bodies. apart from that, i am not a wildlife shooter or even a pro who covers weddings. i am more like serious enthusiast on a budget...not so tight... but on a budget...

been shooting for 3 years and never handled an FX. so ill give it a try....

If you are happy with DX why do you want to switch to FX? It means making different lens choices as well. If you are on a budget stay with your D7000 & spend the money investing in more lenses, a sturdy pro grade tripod etc. This will make more difference to your photography than switching between DX & FX bodies.

sometimes ppl just want to upgrade with no real needs. :bsmilie: so long it's not going hurt ur wallet badly...go ahead.. :bsmilie:

Why settle for something lower spec for a small difference in price? Yawn for D600...

Fewer megapixels = less computing horsepower needed = faster image processing
Fewer pixels on the same sensor area = lower pixel density = improved noise in low light

Haha sound like a D3s lol .....

Looks like D600 performs better at the highet ISO

3,249 body only ... So after a few months the price will go down say 2.8k? 1k cheaper atleast from d800 which sells now ave 3.8k.

I am ready to buy d800 then this came out.

Nikon user shiok! Nikon price lower. Canon still price high

It's just a $300 difference at a very high level in the worst case (if someone isn't good at negotiating).
