I am happy with my 1000D !!!

Hey Cakkarudie, where is this place? The graphics are so small.

PP is my area if weakness. Most of my pics are not post-processed.

oh no, I reduced the size thinking it was the correct thing to do. Anyway go to Gallery, its still there.
Location is at one remote area in South Sulawesi (province of Wajo) my ancestral home.

To me your Bokeh is totally acceptable but somehow the pic does not 'catch' me.

[2] Young & energetic @ Chingay 2009
What is your ISO, shutter speed and aperture for this one. You have adequately freeze the action while maintaining low noise levels. Good.

[3] Nanjing /acrobatic troupe@raffles
Good shot. You capture the action very well despite the zoom and low light. Share settings please.

[4] Sunset pic
Care to expose a little bit more... That will reveal more colours. Must used tripod, for best results.

[5] MRT trail over seletar reservoir (my first try @ BULB shot)
The composition could be better. the subject, I presume the moving train does not stand out.

Overall good effort! Please join us for our outing...

Tell me if I give you a 50D in exchange for your 1000D, are you going to be still that satisfied :D

The pic of planks was taken at Spore zoo, trying out my Sigma.

Thks Mr M! All my shots were taken with 50mm 1.8 II incl the acrobat pic (no flash) except for the MRT pic taken with kit lens 18-55mm IS with remote shutter of abt 25 secs Hard to further expose cos was pitch dark and already using F22. With the 50mm very easy to freeze @ 1/60 F2.8/3.2 ISO400/800. In fact most shots i took @ Chingay and Raffles no need flash even!

Here's another 2 which i purposely try some motion blurr...

Of course you give me 50D sure take lah! Honestly, I was considering getting the 40D but bcos it's my first time into DSLR and not sure whether i will like it even though i was toying with the S3i for a while, I think it will be more logical to try the 1000D first. I must say it has since given me alot of satisfaction. One thing i would like to share with fellow 1000ders is i believe wat most sifus will tell you...invest in lens more important! Wah so long story...just my 20 cents worth hehehe!!!

Some of my not-so-good PP. pls give comments (4th day into DSLR)

from normal playground sidepath, I convert the look to some eerie finish

I remember the 70's kinda film will have this outlook. especially malay & chinese movies of the 70's like 'Abang' or 'Drunken Monkey'
