Angkor Wat - To bring tripod or not?

I will use the tripod only for sunrise/sunsets. Not practical to use inside the temples because of the crowd and space constraints. Just up the ISO if needed.

Angkor Wat - To bring tripod or not?

I am going, too, this weekend. Better bring along a tripod for sunrise, sunset. Even if authorities say later that you can't bring it into the temple, you can still shoot sunrise and sunset from the fringe of the moat, before entering the gateway. If you don't bring your tripod and find out later...

I am new to advanced landscape photography although I have been photographing as a hobby for decades. Your photos are excellent--composition, exposure, timing and you are obviously a master of photo-editing. You should conduct tutorials and workshops on landscape photography. By chance, if you...

    Masai Mara and Kilimanjaro

I went to these places by road in Dec 2009. I used All Seasons Safaris, a small agency based in Nairobi. My tour was for 6N 7D. As I was the only passenger, I paid US$2500 but the hotels were excellent. You'll need a 2x teleplus to double your zoom. 300 mm is not good enough as the animals can...

Yes, three nights in Chile, based in Punta Arenas. However, a side tour to Galapagos Islands will extend the tour beyond Christmas, so no go this time.

    Neutral Density filters

Thanks for the info on Lee filters. Doesn't look like too many are interested in graduated ND filters so shops don't stock them.
