Can't understand this pricing stuff. Oly is still selling this camera at Comex for $549, maybe with some freebies but who would pay $100 more for freebies they don't need? I'm thinking of getting a white one. Anyone knows whether the white surface can be easily scratched or stained?

It's a pity, because the ability to take pics while videoing is very useful when shooting events and on trips. How about the recent Fujis? Can they do it?

Can the EP5 take a pic in the midst of shooting a video? The Sony RX100 can do that and it's a useful function.

Was at SLR Revo yesterday and they said the RX100 going for only $824 during this promo. I got it for $822 during the last Sony promo last year. It's a good price.

Changed the setting and solved the problem. Thanks! Anyhow, I think Sony needs to solve the problem such that at the af-c setting, the image does not move in and out, esp when the camera is not panning.

Not sure what you are referring to, but the AF shouldn't be continuous once you depress the shutter halfway to lock the subject you are focusing on, right?

Interesting shot. I also tried this function while in Bali recently. While it's fun, I'm wondering at the usefulness of such pics, given that when displayed on a screen, the pic is rather small. Good just for the record, I guess.

I guess it also depends on your circumstances. If you are traveling with kids and have to jagar them and carry lots of stuff, then likely you'll find a DSLR will be quite troublesome. When I didn't have kids, I used to carry around an SLR in a camera bag and sometimes even a tripod. These days...
