    Sigma 150-500mm in action

limwhow: i had my tri and monopod with me. I wanted to get familiar with Sigma OS, as mentioned by some guys, it will take a second or 2 to activate. And it is true. commonjunks: you only need to hold it less than a minute to take the shots you want. Sighn1982 : OS was on and set to mode...

    Sigma 150-500mm in action

Here's my take at Zoo, all shots handheld at 500mm. These shots were on my trusted D80, i have tried my lens on my colleague D700 today. With higher ISO such as 6400, I can safely go on faster shutter even on low light conditions. My next body upgrade...so it will be.

    Flight Of A White-Bellied

Nice thermal soar shot, far away and it is still sharp. My fav is their courtship/mating, seen once last year and they were at quite an altitude. Speed dive, roll, talons display, and etc.... similar to this. ;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tufnqWNP9AA&NR=1

    green Viper at Chestnut Ave

Very nice details close up and rich in colours. 1 ft is too close for comfort for the snake (intimidated) and you to react in case it attacks. Flash will not affect vipers vision, but rather vipers sense its victim by body heat. your photo, #5 ready to strike. just see how...

    my tamron 17-50mm not sharp ! help ! 3

briefly, just share with you what i think. 1. handshake blur i see handshake blur, unless the rest agree it is motion blur. lol. f2.8 1/1000, don't just snap. you'll have more problem when doing slow shutter handheld. no editing, only 100% crop from your dustbins shot. 2. focus lock...

    Fungus on UV filters

Hi, I'd just like to share with you my recent findings. Usually, I'd just leave my B+W UV filters on the lens and store it in the dry cabinet. During cleaning today, I found that the inner side of the UV filter has fungus and it is on my 2 filters on 2 different lens. To conclude, the...
