I also support u. Hahaha BTW when I get my 70-200 f/2.8 IS I paid onie $2.2-2.3KSGD in HKG. So now someone says that its gonna increase till 3K? I count myself lucky then.

My dream 85mm 1.2L & 5d mk II seems getting further away haiz.

I SUPPORT CHEAP PARALLEL IMPORTORS! As long as the price are cheap & quality is good, who cares!

Great to have some bros supporting the 'BRING DOWN LENS PRICES' cause! Hope MS, AP, TCW,CP all lookiing at this thread. I think we have to start supporting the shop that sells us lowest price, and I believe it is OP, orient photo sim lim. CP used to be lowest priced, but recently they upped their prices again, same with MS. From my research, only OP and Lords still giving the best prices. But then again, I one man show cannot run too many places at one time all the time. So hope other bros researching on their dreamlens do post which shop selling the cheapest so ALL THE CS BROS would just go and support this low price shop and force the other shops to drop prices also!

UNITED WE STAND, ALONE WE FALL! TOGETHER WE PAY LESS, ALONE WE PAY MORE!

Hi Bro Lioneldude, pls don't take any offence of my last comments. I do agree with with many product houses have started to adopt with the razor-blade business.

No worries! I've no MBA though.. Haha..

Sony and Tokina has offically raised the price of their products. MS-Color is the source of information.

hmm well, so i guess it might be true that the "Elements" are getting more expensive.. or rather, its true, since its official.

Raise price in an economy Crisis....really doesn't make sense..... May be all should hold back buying to protest. :bsmilie: Just like cars....my friend just got his new lancer (Not off peak), for $45K. Darn.....paid cash with his bonus! (Why so cheap? Car makers are trying to earn more by selling cheap, but sell more.)

Holding back purchases during this period is a sure way to turn the economy into recession. :bsmilie:

OT a little:

i guess he bought the old model lancer than. cycle & carraige is clearing is old stock since the new lancer EX came in.

I'm holding back on lenses for now because I do not have enough funds to get the other lenses I am looking at. that, and the fact that I do not have a full frame body to fully utilise the other lenses I am looking at too! so it's a chicken or egg situation for now, I suppose.

and besides, knowing me, I'll plonk more money into my guitar/s than my camera for now. seeing how the stock (back in Melbourne at least) was purchased when the Aussie dollar was still high against the US dollar... guitars were never cheaper! Gretsch, here I come!
