Hoping to get a ballpark figure before asking and then sounding like an idiot after getting shocked by the price .... though from B&H Photo, seems the lens will be around 1100 SGD thereabouts.

Well, may I suggest Mr Wong compile his list of ZM lenses and their price and post a sticky here. It will be helpful to those looking into zm lenses for a change and he need not keep answering calls for price.

I am just let ZM supporters know that Mr Wong has new stocks on ZM, as I do pop in his shop every now and then. Price thing is sensitive and not appropriate here and u are keen just give him a call la.

That's why i like Chiff cameras, all prices up in the website. Wonder whether he has regular's special pricing boh

Nice lens. I dun use 35mm often but bought one just because of the almost zero distortion curve ............... hahaha

I am using 15/2.8, 21/2.8, 28/2.8, 35/2, 50/2 and 85/2. I like them all. One thing about ZM is their colour reproduction character is very consistent over the whole focal length range.

I have 35mm Biogon f2 - first lens i got when i got first M9 6 months ago. It's a beautiful lens ... with beautiful results. My 24mm Lux stays unplugged most of time. The other lens that is always on is my Noct 0.95.

Mr Wong is a decent guy - no frills. He told me no need for internet etc - people who wants it will find him. I did after reading Fuwen's tip here !

What do you think about sonnar 50/1.5 C lens?
I own lux 50 ASPH, it's sharp at @F1.4
i heard that sonnar 50/1.4 have different "look" on the image.
Have u tried it?
it would be great if u can post some pics from it

The Sonnar has a softer look when wide open, compared to 50 ASPH.

The Sonnar is very good for classic "old" look, and is best with film.

Hi sorry I have not use the C Sonnar before. But a lot have been discussed in the rangefinder forum http://www.rangefinderforum.com and Hong Kong Contax Club forum http://forum.contax-club.org

But this is an interesting lens with different character at f1.5, f2, f2.8. Think from f4/f5.6 onwards it behaves like the Planar. Also complicated by a focus issue which some users are ok with it some not.

was at Mr Wong's yesterday and happily got myself the Carl Zeiss ZM 50 f2 with hood... what a stunner!
