Just because you use asterick marks to substitute letters does not make profanity any less offensive. I think anyone on this forum can easily deduce what the offensive word is, so you might as well type out it full if you feel a real need to say it. To me personally, if you are going to swear, then swear.

Anyway, I think since the author has mentioned "viewing only" and not locked the thread, it is up to other users to decide whether the author also meant no criticism or no comments. No one is right or wrong, and only the author really knows. So, I shall not comment on this until the author has responded.

Does one need to lock the thread? What does the simple reading of the words "FOR VIEWING ONLY" mean?

When one says "Private Property. No Trespassing"". Does one have to lock the gates?

I have been in this forum for sometime and hardly ever post. But personally i feel that recently this part of the forum is degenerating. Lets leave it to the threadstarter to comment on this shall we? And stop the out of topic posts that contribute nothing to the art of photography nor the threadstarter's picture taking skills. There are many other parts of the forum for postings of such nature.

My post is not meant to offend or cause any kind of unhappiness. Would much rather see constuctive critque than needless name calling or unnecessary out of topic comments. Clubsnap is the most successful photography forum coming out of Asia on the whole, and although most forums do have its deliquents, those here take the cake. Lets all just enjoy photography how its meant to be enjoyed.

Those guys out there can learn fm this is that how the PROs look at photos n how posture can ruin the pic...anyway I would like to express a big THANX to those who are kind n helpful to point out the fault in the 3 pics I purposely pick out....Its meant for Viewing but I know someway or somehow it wouldn't be nice to post up .... Juz to have fun sharing ....

Eventhough this thread is for sharing ....I have no objection to guys willing to share some thoughts on the improvement on my skills n the way I took the shots....

Im definitely learning something new in terms of bg n postures n the way how the model present her pose towards making a good n intrigue photos that are meant to bring out their beauty....

Thou, its for viewing only..
Personally..i feel that if a photographer wish to share his photos in CS.
He should be prepared for criticism if the work is not up to a certain standard (referring generally).

And this time, I am also glad that DP did not alocate a paragrah just for messy hair.
He really did nail the mistakes, (not sure, if pal cyber himself has realised or not).
If I am the photographer, I will be grateful to such comments...(armpit folds, pole between the legs)...
These are things that most newbies, like myself will neglect and perhaps not even realised when uploaded or printed out.

Constructive criticisms and praises should be equally appreciated, in CS or real life.

I think cyber did not take it the harsh way, so everyone chill yah... ;p

I do not know what is going on here! Maybe I am of a different generation from you people. Different value system.

But the lack of a sense of perspective is certainly very unsettling!

Let me explain.

1 The TS wrote "For Viewing Only". To people like Pro Image, Canonnised, yourself, and Cannonball, the intent is clear. And that is "For Viewing Only". And DP barged right in!

2 When Pro Image and Cannonised pointed this out, DP refuted them, and then what happened? Silence! Why? Peace? Sorry, Pro Image and Cannonised. Lacking something? Or zen wisdom?

3 And then, DP came in to accuse the TS of only wanting to hear praises and not criticisms! Now where did that come from? Is it fair for DP to criticise the TS (not on the photos?) personally in his attitude to critiques when the TS never asked for critiques in the first place, and also did not show any evidence whatsoever about not wanting criticism?

And you guys want me to hold my peace? To "relax"?

To let such blatant bullying get away in the pretext of peace?
