again, my subjective opinion
- it is sharper than the FLE. there is more distinct micro contrast and rendering of detail, even close up
- the bokeh is nicer, not as harsh as the FLE, which is sometimes known of a bit of a messy defocus. I could also be biased.
- lens renders with similarly high contrast to the FLE
for what it is worth, i also own the 35 double aspherical, or AA lens. And while the AA has more CA in its images owning to a much older design, it is noticeably sharper than the zeiss still.
looking forward to putting this lens through it's paces this week. it's a must buy in my opinion, but if you prefer Leica branded stuff, or a lens with a smaller footprint, then definitely not for you.
there is some measure of cyan cast when it is used uncoded, which is what i do, but on an absolute raw performance basis, shooting in raw, it's a brilliant piece of kit. i plan to use it as my sole lens for the rest of this year.
