beautiful photos (sharp, didn't know sigma 50 that sharp) and captured that Christmas mood nicely!

what ISO used?

Thank you for sharing and Happy New Year!

I will never shoot a model with such ridiculous eye make up. Killed any resemblance of reality and good taste.

Need to watch out for persepctives. These are beauty/glamour genre, can't use creativity as an excuse.

Skin treatment, too much for my taste, but the is Zec's signature, just like I like blown images.

Nice Model and very nice shot as usual dude! Happy New Year!

:thumbsup:Nice shot!!! 5 stars to you my friend!

It brings out her eyes nicely, you are ridiculous..

And the images are so creative, I love them.

I think the skin treatment is fine, all girls should have porcelain skin, the rain drop hit already will just slide off like that

you meant the satay skewers for eye lashes? :nono:

Zec likes his skin treatment to be way overdone. IF he likes them that way fine with me, I still fine them not acceptable.

And why am I ridiculous?

Btw, joined for 2 days, you have been busy.

Ha ha ha ha. Cool down all. Everybody is entitled to their own points-of-view lah. Happy new year! :D

Well, it all depends on what type of photos you are going after and who is going to receive the photos mah. We have switch styles once in a while to freshen up you know? :p

True. We do change style once a while to freshen up :)

Yup, no need to always stick to the old drawing board. Sometimes we need to open ourselves up to other things and see it in a different point-of-view. Sometimes we get unexpected results that we like. :)

I like the gal is pretty good looking and the lighting there are not bad...

But I do not understand why doing excessive and unnatural PP to the pictures? IMO, it might looks better without all excessive PP.

its Zeckson's signature.

i always find his photos... the model's face too plastic for my liking ;p other than that no complains.

IMO, that excessive PP is actually destroying all the IQ from good camera and good lenses.

If excessive PP is required, IMO, no need such great gears after all... Good gears are supposed to deliver IQ that cheaper gears failed to deliver.

i concur.

for me i only pp to make skin smoother (sometimes i dun also if the model already have a good skin!) , lighten but not remove blemishes.

but everyone got their style. :)

one thing for sure, Zeckson's style definitely suitable for editorial works whereby the model must be flawless.

Both of you are correct. I will not say any of you is wrong. Chanhin, you love all natural skin. Please continue to like them. But don't bring any other skins outside your level of acceptance down. You don't like ultra smooth skins, then please don't like. You don't need to stress it over and over again.

When I take photos, I will look at

1) Who will receive the photos
2) Who will look at the photos
3) Who will pay for the photos if I am being paid
4) What will the photos be used for, when and where

At the end of the day, I will not bother with what other photographers say about my photos but I will take it seriously if my client(s), which are normal people, say I did not do a good job. After all, they are the ones paying me. Let's be realistic. If this is a commercial job, you can go on sulking about the skins and agreeing with anyone else here but I am the one who will pocket the money, not you.

Kindly remember, I am not asking you like my photos. I am just sharing what I took. You are not my client. I am not engaged by you either. Respect my work please.

Like I said, Kamen has got very smooth skin originally. Here is how she looks like before my post processing. Do note that I do not need to prove to you anything. If you would still not to believe, kindly bring your disbelieve somewhere else.

So can we stop this pointless discussion about skins for a while please?

HNY! I think you smoothed the face too much already..:P

Taste is strictly subjective. I thought the photos looked great considering it was natural light, you have a good eye for finding them :)

Since the light was mostly from LED sources i believe, of which you have little control over the direction - the photos looked kinda similar. Still, i find them very pleasant :)

I'm not a fan of that super smooth look but i must say this set brings out the feel of a dreamy christmas of a good looking model, which I really enjoy! P.s. i thought the model didn't look Singaporean, or is she not? :dunno: haha

Thanks for sharing!

If you have chosen to share your photos here, I'm sorry, you have to take every single comment on your chin. This is a public forum, where members are free to exchange their opinions.

From what I'm reading here, I don't see anything wrong with the comments. Members only highlight about the skin tone/texture. These are not any nasty comments.

And YES, you do not have to prove to us anything. But if you don't intend to prove to us anything, why publish your photos here in the first place? Is it just for the sake of sharing without any comments? If you cannot accept comments, I would advice you not to publish your photos here, enjoy your photo in your room with a box of popcorn.

My 2 cents to you...

Thank you for your comments. What you say is correct. This is a public forum and every member has to right to give comments. This is all correct.

I did not say Chanhin's comments are wrong. I did say he made correct statements. Did you read it properly? I am making a point that the skin was not smoothen which some of the members claimed that I did. So that is a point I want to prove. That is the objective.

I don't understand what you mean by this: "But if you don't intend to prove to us anything, why publish your photos here in the first place?". So I must prove something then I post my photos? This is a community, a place to view photos done by others and showcase your photos. Members have the right to comment if they choose to do so. I did not even ask for comments in my first post. If I did, I would have prepared for all types of words. Good or nasty come what may. Good minded people just wanna pen down what they think about the photos, that's it. But I did not ask for it.

Just like you wrote down your comments here on your own free will, I did not ask for it. Its your free will. Having said that, I don't need to agree with whatever you say. That's my freewill too. I don't want to talk about this with you now, it is not necessary.

Your 2 cents are not accepted. Closing the thread, to prevent unnecessary, nonconstructive, 1-sided words from everybody else.
