Hi all,

Can anyone advice where can I purchase ZD50 locally in S'pore? Is this the same as ED 50? Any idea of the price? I cannot wait to get one after seeing the pix.

Thank you very much.

Get from MS color located at Ang Mo Kio Central, price should be around $760-770. Quickly go and buy!!!!

This is another indoor shot I took in Wolf blass wine cellar...in Borassa Valley!

Hacker, its almost emotional to see how your boy is growing up through the pages in these forums. Its almost like a documentary here.

By the way, if I can comment, some of your shots are overprocessed, but if they are intentional, then cool. Nice photos nevertheless.

Seems like ACD Pro does not handle RAW orf files very well. I have reprocessed the files using Master.

Try this lens to take street candids, and found this chio bu outside Paragon:

If the ZD 50mm is too expensive for your budget, you could consider the ZD 35mm which is only about half the price. Image quality wise, it is almost impossible to tell the difference in images shot with either lens from my experience with them. And that makes it really good value for money in my books. Take for example these 2 shots taken with the ZD 35mm at mid-distance and close-up.

i borrowed my friend Canon 350D and his 50mm f/1.8 lens and compare it with my E-500 with kits lens.
Environment was in my room with only a Fluorescent light litted. Camera distance is about 2 metres from the object. No flash was use. Focal length is set to 50mm. Shutter set to 1/80,ISO was set to 800 and shutter priority. Both camera was set to auto white balancing and handheld. Only resize in PS.

yes i know cant compare with different lens. i only want to know what kits lens can do in the same environment comparing to bright lens :D
and we can see the crop factor of Olympus and Canon.

You shot the canon pic @ f1.8... pic will sure be soft. The dof is already evident when you compare the shelf door.

If you want to know what a cam is capable of you must have a proper objective and method of comparision. Shooting like that does not tell anything at all.

Lastly, Canon cam does have a little softer pics off the cam. Also evident is the higher resolution of the oly system as oly sensors have higher pixel density.
