Listen. Not my problem if you can't understand what is right and wrong. Ok? You are the wannabe villain. With typical wannabe villain character. You can ask for your stupid apology all day until your mother father die also like that. Don't be stupid. don't be too frustrated about the comments here. learning is a long road.
Have more confidence in yourself and in your pictures. sometimes you have to stand up for your pictures. one thing you must know is that photography is divided into art and career.
for those professionals like me who are doing photography for a living, we have a set of different priorities.
for hobbyist like you and most people here, photography is a kind of art. art can be anything. it's totally up to you.
the professionals here who stress on technicalities like sharpness and all that is not wrong although i don't agree
with the way they carry out their instructions (but thanks to them leejay visits me
quite often nowadays. (because i am a lonely old man)).
to perform photography as an art, you need a lot of recklessness and self-pride. just a day ago leejay visited me. had a plastic bag in his hand. i asked what's that. he said it's a new hard disk.
then he stuck his tongue out and said 'my hard disk full again, need to store more photos'.
narloke, if you think you have captured yuki the way you want it, then that's fine. it's an art. your pic is clearly a gothic art. defend your work! i always tell leejay, don't be so humble because you are not that great. humility is only for great men.
last month one chap messaged me-
'Noticed you were very generous in offering to share your experience with leejay.
I am a newbie too... possible to extend your generosity to others too? Thank you.'
to that i replied-
'i see leejay's madness and boldness in the art. this is important.
show me yours.'

Like I said. My objective isn't to win, but to shed light on truth. By now, it's pretty obvious you only wanna win, which I'm sure is good for you in this twisted world.
I used to wish I could be a narrow minded person, driven by ego and bent on 'winning' like you. But after awhile I decide, I can only be myself.

Don't worry about it. It's often mistaken.
I want you to know that this isn't really THAT bad. It's a potential shot, as compared to many here which are just... worse.
My first impression here was that you've offended some people, because I'd not seen so much enthusiasm in slamming another person's photos here before unless the person really did something VERY bad or posted an extremely extremely bad shot, which, isn't your case. :dunno:
I'm not a mod but I feel if the unrelated discussions go on, you may consider kindly asking the discussion to be moved to other subforums since it's no longer about the photo.

For all its worth, i tink its a cool pic, can imagine copy placed either front of her or back.
The pic catches your eye, looks different, tink its quite artistic. Something you can use for a youth-centric ad?? This looks like one of the pics you can see in like Wallpaper or something.
Dont be put off by the comments here, the people here like those really technically perfect photos.... a little dated in their visual appreciation.

No, not at all. I am not offended at all.
I very rarely get offended by comments directed to me on a personal level. I know my place in the sun, and no personal attacks on me will make a ding in me.
But I get annoyed very easily and I get pissed off quickly at nonsense - or at least what I perceive as nonsense.
I am the same. You may not like me if you had known me in my much younger days! My Uni classmates from 1977 still love to remind me what an obnoxious ar*****e I was, and still am!
When I joined CS in 2004, the climate was a little different. There have always been nonsense around, including mine! But over the last 2-3 years, due to some obvious influences, the amount of nonsense had mushroomed like the atomic blow-up. People had become crass, thinking that politeness and proper communication is unimportant. Too many people so full of themselves, when in actual fact what they knew are so miniscule.
A lot of critiques were brandished like dogmas. While comments will always have merit, it is misleading to put it in such manner that they appear like dogmas. And the worse thing is that some of these people are pure hypocrites!
Hence, my postings changed. I try to give another perspective to these dogmas.
Now instead of saying I "changed", I think it is better to read what I wrote and see if what I wrote had substance.
Engage me on that!
