I want get the FA35 (samsung version) if I could find it in Korea. Other than that, I have no more desires for lenses.

Hopefully there's still stocks of the DA 12-24mm Samsung version when I get to Korea. Thinking of the Sigma 30mm too.. FA 31mm just way too expensive :(

:devil::devil::devil: everybody chionging to korea...

anyway i think i have completed my line-up, UWA, macro, normal, portrait.. everything else is out of my budget.

in fact, with my busy schedule and distraction with B/W film, i think i have more gear than i can justify

Happy with my rig now. :)

Still, a MIJ FA 31mm Ltd will be nice.. but I guess these are all assembled in Vietnam now.. :(
Yes. No more MIJ. I checked at OP yesterday. Got a Silver but MIV FA31. Some ~$1.4k. Still have a MIJ FA43 though. Grab the last remaining pieces for those who wants MIJ.

Its a mis concept that the FA* 85 is expensive... its 1.6 to 1.7K depending on condition. Nikon 85mm f1.4 new is $1850, Canon 85mm f1.2 is 3.2K and above... The FA* 85 is right up there with the best. Its not over hype, its performance is that good.
A few years down the road when FF is becoming more affordable and more feasible to produce, most of the FA* lens prices will go sky high... Now is the best time to stock up on the FA* lenses...

If Pentax were to introduce a DA*85mm, it will be at the same price range as Nikon or even more expensive, its not any cheaper than now...
SDM is not any faster in focusing, silent doesn't make better pics. And motor will fail sooner than u think...

there will always be a better camera, but for lens, its not any better and price is only getting more expensive...

I dunno what my next lens will be, but im keeping a look out for FA*200mm, A50mm f1.2 and A20mm f2.8.

so consider ur favourite wedding ptg using 24mm f1.4 (2.6K), 35mm f1.4(2K) 50mm f1.2(2.2K) and the 85mmf1.2(3.5K) for ur wedding in the future, now u know why its so expensive to hire them...

Optically the FA* is good but we are not comparing the same max. aperture here for Canon. For Nikon, it's about the same. Anyway, even at these prices, the wedding photographers show be able to recoup them within a few assignments given the fees they charge.

I think according to my shooting habits, I can justify my current setup and no more...

The next desirable would probably be something longer than 200mm and at least f4, or to start collecting some of the Limiteds... ;p

Nothing already.. Line-up completed!

Still suffer from lust and longing though :D

Wah, so many confessions :bsmilie:
OK for me I think I'm cured of LBA and CBA... but not before getting the K-7, a 12-24mm and 70-200mm... gulp

Good to know that we have more new Pentax users in our midst since the K-7 was launched.
So my trivial question to seasoned and new Pentaxians is:

What's the next lens you plan to get, and why? ;p

Have you overcome the LBA (Lens Buying Addiction) disease?

Time to confess your secret lens buying desires...

FA31mm Ltd & FA77mm Ltd to complete the Ltd series.
DA*200mm, DA*300mm & DA*60-250mm to complete the DA* series.
FA*600mm to cover the ultra telephoto end.

oh no, I think I have a serious LBA disease.:bsmilie:

Just kidding, I don't really need any more lens. No LBA or CBA desires at the moment.;)

FA*200/4 macro. That's the only lens I wanna put my hands on. Probably too expensive to keep though ...

70-200 is from PF right.. ;p

Should be DA*16-50. An upgrade from my set lens DA 18-55, which I used most of the time.

It has the nick name of 离别勾 in China. Unbeatable for insect shooting!

DA15mm and DA35mm to complete my DA Limited pancakes series.
Don't wanna start collecting the FA Limiteds, but the 77mm is always calling me.

Actually what I need now is a zoom, at the wider end. If Pentax have a 16-135mm lens I would buy it. Currently the best option is the DA17-70 SDM or the cheaper Sigma version.

I agree. Even if a new FF or Digital version of the 85/1.4 comes out, it will not be any cheaper. Just look at the prices of the DA*. The price will certainly be in the ball park of the FA85, but should be a bit lesser than CnN.

I'd like to get a 'normal' Takumar 28mm to complete my M42 mount series, so that lazy me can go around without the need to remove the adapter.

Now itching to get a fast 300mm. Maybe the F* based on the inputs from the gurus here. I think I will take my 400/4.5 and DA55-300 for 1-2 weeks more of test shots before I drop the hammer.

BTW, I really do need another flash, this time with a swivel head

Go with the 12-24mm... I luv mine.

70-200 is from PF right.. ;p

Yah, now I got to check myself into LBA re-hab... anybody got a miracle cure? :bsmilie:
Out of curiousity I went to inquire about the new DA 50-200mm WR... BIG TIME STICKER PRICE SHOCK... S$5xx

Hmm.. $860 is actually cheaper than the $910 quoted to me for the Sigma 10-20mm

Oh.. is it... i thought sigma 10-20 is around $800+ too.. den maybe you shld consider the 12-24 too!

If the price for the Samsung 12-24mm is $860 locally, it is a steal when compared to the Pentax version. Placed my Samsung 12-24mm next to brother fengwei's Pentax 12-24mm and the lens coating is identical. Draw your own conclusions... ;)
