Mine is the slik pro gm...the medium sized one.
Looking for the mini version but they are rare to find and don't come cheap. :)

There're Optech tripod straps, which you may want to check out to see if they fit your tripod.

1. stick gaffer tape to protect frm scratches
2. use cable zip tie to attach 2 keychain rings (1 at top of leg/centre column, 1 at bottom of leg)
3. scavenge a strap from an old sling bag

cheap and good

no need to multiply... focal length never change even if its 10 times cropped, only FOV change...

You do have to multiply, because the 'cropped' FOV accentuates the effect of any camera movement. As you say, nothing to do with FL as such.

Lots of discussion on this on DPR in the past. And it makes sense.

Cheers,

Tim

 eye opener for me... :bsmilie:

I'm finding the level indicator to be very useful. I ignored it initially cause the camera 'looked' tilted sometimes with the indicator being level, and ended with tilted photos. Now, I trust it a lot.

Funny, haha! Cos I have same experience.. I thought the camera was tilted when I lined up the level nicely, and I had my doubts, but it turned out otherwise. In short, the level works!

i want level too...

can pentax add one onto k20d? :bsmilie:

Threw me a while, before I realise: ma fan. ("troublesome" in chinese.)

And I think it also looks ugly stuck on the hotshoe? :bsmilie:

actually, the main reason is that i cannot fit the camera into a normal billingham compartment with the hotshoe spirit level on

2 alphabets: PP :D

definitely, but sometimes you end up having to crop away things that you don't want to crop

then, the clone tool comes into play as a last resort

but so painful to do

But bo pian lar...
At work, we have to balance the triangle of $$, resource, features.
In this case, we need to balance the triangle of $$$, convenience and "bulkless-ness"... :D

can use the live view to compose first... since mount tripod most of the time...
