Thanks, pinholecam. Lower Seletar is a place I never tire of, will go again this weekend if weather permits. :)

Nice shots dude! :thumbsup::thumbsup:

very nice series bro!
i just started to focus on photography, tried shooting at lower seletar today but due to the bad whether it turned up like crap. Would like to learn from you somedays =D

#9's pretty good. The others gave the feeling of over zealous PP. Some of them had colours that were literally out of this world, and one was over sharpened.

I once read a book on landscape photography, and it brought a message across strongly - a landscape picture should be both of and about the place. :)

nice shot... i'm also staying in yishun but never notice such nice cloud pattern before... even when i spend most of time seated next to a window doing my work.
anyway, is most of ur image HDR in order to bring out the different colour???

oh god amazing shots.

i liked 13, 14 and 25. really nice vision.

anyway i always wanted to have a nice pic of the sky with very detailed clouds like #22 and #23... do you pp it? if yes how?

Hi JT,

good try but need to boost up the contrast for MONO....

mayhap you should try using different color filter during MONO conversion, as in Blue Filter to boost up the highlights and midtones.....and using Curve to bring out the shadows....

besides that, a little step forward to exclude the overgrown on the right will be perfect...

cheers buddy and happy trying..

BR,
Thomas

Some of the images like #22, #23 are done with HDR (photomatix) the others were manual blending with different exposure (example #8, #9), I learned these two techniques from Thomas (Soulfly), the techniques were described in his walkabout HDR thread and for #25, I am trying layer blending (screen & multiply) generously share by night86mare in his PM. Of Course, these images were unable to achieve their standard. Credits goes to them and their willingness to teach.

Of course, I shoot almost every Sat, we can learn from each other, will pm u. :)

HI TS ! I'm oso staying in Yishun and sometimes do fire a few shots now and then. Is it Ok to post some pics here sort of like collectively?

Hi, dev2k8, mmm.., first of all, I must thank u for the suggestion, I think I would prefer to reserve this thread to my photos only, I think it is easier for other to comment on my works and for me to learn better, sorry for being rude to ur request, hope u understand. :)
