Do you really need a 2nd body? I always wonder why non-pros need one... For the same weight I rather carry one ore two lenses more.
hehhe.. its always a want more than need. i want OM-D also with NEX 7..but am too poor to do so :bsmilie:

Nex 35mm is available in Hong Kong.. How's that lens?
Anywhere near as good as the Fuji?
ZoomZ said:Sony Nex 35mm f1.8 is a very good lens in terms of built and IQ. But still nowhere near the Fuji 35mm in terms of IQ and sharpness.
Fuji 35mm is an exceptional lens and can be used like Leica summilux- wide opened at f1.4 and still yield the sharpest image with great bokeh.
Sony 35mm f1.8 is a very good add-on to the limited Nex lenses (without using adapters of course), and with the price, it is a very good lens considering that it is around 2-3 times cheaper than the Sony CZ24mm. Built quality is good with virtually silent auto focus. Fuji 35mm is not as quiet when focusing.
I totally agree wif after seeing some images from sel35-1.8 lens. Still can't match Fuji xf35-1.4. U meant d FLE or ASPH Summilux rite? Coz pre ASPH Summilux does not yield u d sharpest image wide open. It's best at f/2.0 and above and prefer d Bokeh of it at this aperture instead of wide open. Haha
ZoomZ said:Yes, I am comparing to the Summilux ASPH. This Fuji 35mm f1.4 is far better than pre-asph summilux in terms of sharpness, even when shoot wide open.
Bokeh quality depends on individual, but I find 35lux FLE and 50lux produces one of the best bokeh on M9, yet the centre of focus is sharper than most other lenses. This is why summilux asph lenses are unique, since most lenses can produce sharp IQ stopped down (sacrificing bokeh) or not very sharp when shot wide open.
OOT a bit, so coming back. Fuji 35mm F1.4 has wonderful bokeh quality too!
Back to the 18-55mm discussion. Retail price is still at $1,099?
ZoomZ said:Nope. Using RX1 now.
Haha... Just joking. Friend wanted his Nex7 back so I am back with my X-E1. Kind of missing the IQ of the Fuji 35mm f1.4 and the sharpness of X-E1 that don't see on Nex 7.
Using my M9P lately as main gear, until the new replacement sensor arrives at Leica service centre.
I think so. Last checked. Anyone can confirm?
ZoomZ, still using NEX 7?
ZoomZ said:OOT. PM me if keen to know.

yup, really a good deal for now. but as usual it will drop further for sure in a couple of months. but for me i have waited long enough.Superb price. This is probably the stable price for this zoom lens since the initial launch price of $1099.
Must say this is well worth the price at $942, for a solid built lens with super sharp focus. Especially the completely silent AF focus and super fast AF.

the initial quote from Harvey Norman was $1099, but the salesperson finally agreed to drop it down to $942. i didn't need to buy anything else at that price. am sure everyone should be able to buy it at $942, maybe even lower if they have better bargaining skills?
Is buying the lens with a box really so important? Why not simply get the lens that the shop removed from the kit? $800-$880 only
