I just returned from MS Colour with a new X100 Black Limited Edition. Price has been slashed to $1599! It is too good to return home empty-handed.

I feel your pain but after looking through my RFs and then the X100 with all the silver paint coating wear off due to use BUT with the excellent pictures produced, I would rather take the later.
Enjoy the camera. If it is meant to be used, it will be battle hardened with scars.

Yup. Shot plenty. Realised <F4 has quite shallow depth of field on 35mm equivalent lens. This shocked me as I don't see that on my leica M 35mm lens.

Well, the X100 got discontinued. Shouldn't it be even cheaper?

Just brought a new set back and it is now serial number 7xxx. Out of the 10,000 in production. So stock finishing soon and price going up instead for collectibles?
Anyway, with all the extra accessories compared to the silver X100, the black one is quite worth the price. Save the headache of looking for those accessories, which are all quite necessary.

I think the price is still $1599. Try calling MScolor before you go down.
I didn't buy from MScolor but called them a few days back. That was the price quoted. Cash price with GST.
Bought mine from my regular shop who matches any best price I found. No need headaches of going to different places.
